So what makes the MJ-1814 a high security safe? Let's start with the door consisting of a 1/4" armor plate steel, then add in varying thicknesses of 10, 8 and 3 gauge steel combined with aluminum concrete mixture in between another slab of hardened steel. Add in the hard plate and re-lockers and it's easy to see how this safe can survive a sophisticated attack for 30 minutes. As if that's not enough, the MJ-1814 also offers the maximum protection against high-intensity fires. With a 2 hour factory tested rating, this safe maintained an internal temperature below 350° for 2 hours with an external temperature reaching up to 1750°!
