The body and door of this portable pistol box is constructed of 14 gauge solid steel with the door having an inch overlap to add additional pry resistance. Once open you'll notice the 1-1/2" chrome locking bolt and protective steel housing behind the lock that really separates this handgun safe from its competitors providing protection from punch attacks. For protection of your firearm, AMSEC added high density pluck foam that fits the exact size and shape of your pistol.
